  Introduction

Whitefield College, an outstanding center of knowledge and academic excellence, was established in 2053. It aims at imparting need-responsive quality education for the current and future generations of students. It is evolving at a faster rate, as a unique center of learning where each and every student can have the best opportunity for exploring and developing his\her full potentials.
Whitefield College, a co-education sister institution functioning under the management of Raktakali Education Foundation (REF) which has successfully accomplished two and half decades in imparting quality and scientific education in congenial academic atmosphere to the students of diverse background.

Whitefield College is privileged to have a number of renowned secondary schools of Kathmandu valley as its root schools. In lie of institutional sustainability that these schools are ensuring we are morally accountable for providing quality education to their students. This has provided a wonderful opportunity for reengineering the learning environment, if necessary, in consultation with the roof schools to facilitate a smooth transition of students from school education to college education. For the entire personality development of children, knowledge from the books alone is not sufficient. Thus, we run Taekondo Club, Judo Club, Lawn Tennis Club, Basketball Club, Art and Craft Club, Dance Class, Vocal Class, Table Tennis Club, Cricket Club and Swimming Club etc. Both English and Nepali poetry recitation, story/ essay writing, hiking and excursion, eloquence, quiz, speech and debate are regularly held in the form of competitions. Besides these, different types of indoors and outdoors games are widely enjoyed in the college atmosphere. Guest lectures and orientation programmes for further study and career development are run weekly and occasionally. Students are made to deliver speeches daily in the morning assembly in order to boost up their confidence level.

Inter-college Friendship basketball Competition is organized every year.

    Under the able leadership of student body and proper guidance of the teachers, our children publish various articles, annual school magazine “THE ROOT”, research paper etc. where they create rooms to display their creativity "symbiotic" a monthly wall magazine "The Creative Voice".

      Academic Evaluation

    We conduct regular class test, unit test, terminal exams, annual exam and pre-send up exam to judge the students’ learning capability. These activities will certainly help the students realize their weakness and give room for improvement.

    School bus and city van are available on request and demand at a subsidized rate for easy accessibility of the students.

     
      Boarding Facility

    On the request of the parents, hostel facility is provided to the students. The hostel is well managed to meet all the needs of the students and makes every students get the feeling of “A home away from home”.

      Location

    The school is suitably located at a scenic picturesque amidst khusibu and bhurungkhel, Chetrapati Locality. Though is situated in the heart of the city, it remains very aloof from the maddening crowd of the city. Whitefield has spacious playground and healthy learning environment.
