Introduction

SANN (Study of Ancient and New Nepal) is an academic institute founded in 1989. The objectives of this institute are to provide knowledge about Nepalese Culture and Religion, Nepalese Economics, Politics etc to the American students and also to expose our Nepalese students to the American system of education. The institute runs programs such as Semester in Nepal for American undergraduate students from various universities across the USA. It also has a Student Exchange Program for Nepalese students in association with several American universities. The academic Programs at SANN gives unique opportunities for competent Nepalese students to further their education at various colleges and universities in the USA as twinning program and also in Thailand with scholarship. Students with a high academic caliber are eligible to study at the American university at a reduced fee rate.


SANN International College

With a goal to provide good opportunities for the Nepalese students and to impart quality education at the international level, the institute established SANN International College for Higher Studies in the year 2000. This college runs under the management of SANN Research Institute.
The college is committed to an excellent learning environment. It offers high quality education in English medium. The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their field and they are capable to guide students to a successful career. Students at SANN have the opportunity of studying in a unique environment, which provides them exposure to the international education system.
All the students are required to wear proper uniforms. The college is equally particular about discipline the students are expected to obide by the rules and regulations of the college. The college reserves the right to expel any student on the grounds of disrupting the campus environment and policies.
The college runs the higher secondary level program in Science and management streams in affiliation with Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), The College has also lunched the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program in affiliation with Purbanchal University. This BBA program is the gateway to Twinning Program, in association with the University of Idaho, USA The latest addition to SANN’s academic programs are bachelor in Arts (with English, Sociology and Rural development major) and the Bachelor in Science Bio-technology programs, also in affilation with Purbanchal University.

B) Bachelor program
There are three programs in Bachelor level under the affilation with Purbanchel University.

1. Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA):
This a four-year program distributed over 8 semesters with a total study load of 129 credit hours. Students are required to study 42 hours in Business core plus some general education and core courses including 2 courses from a chosen specialization area together with project work and or Internship each equivalent to 6 credit hours.

2. Bachelor of Arts (BA)
SANN has BA program from this year with major in three subjects; English, Sociology and Rural development.

3. B.S.c in Bio-Technology
SANN has also a 4-year (8 semesters) B.S.c Bio Technology course.

Facilities

SANN admits limited number of students in each class. The classes are designed to meet the student's requirements. It has well equipped laboratory with modern audio visual aids for teaching and learning purposes.

The library at SANN has a good collection of course books and reference materials.

SANN realises the importance of new knowledge in the field of science and technology It has well-equipped science laboratories and computer labs with Internet facilities for students.

SANN has a clean and hygienic cafeteria to provide fresh and delicious food at subsidized prices to students and staff.

SANN has transportation facility for the students at a minimum cost.

Co-curricular Activities

Besides academic programs the college has also co-curricular activities such as:

Games: Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton and indoor games.
