Lord Buddha, an embodiment of peace,
non-violence, endeavor and above all enlightenment,
is our national pride. The founder committee of
Lord Buddha Academic Center decided
to commemorate his memory by establishing an Academic
Center for enthusiastic students in Maharajunj,
near Teaching Hospital.
Lord Buddha Academic Centre
(LBAC) is a registered private educational
institute. It runs on its own resources. In 1993
(2050B.S), the official opening took place and Nursery
to Primary Classes started in the present premise
by the Founder Principal Mrs. Rupa Pradhan.
As time rolled by, the Centre with
high ambition took its gradual step to upgrade the
classes upto 7 in 1998 (2055), to class 8 in 1999
(2056) and to 9 & 10 in 2000 (2057) as a High
School.
With moment of agony and ecstasy,
success and failure, our constant endeavour instilled
in us a strong urge to run the Higher Secondary
Education (+2). As a result, the first step of Higher
Secondary Education (+2) in Science Stream was affiliated
to Higher Secondary Education Board. Ministry of
Education, HMG.Nepal 1994 (2054) under the name
of Lord Buddha Academic Center, Higher Secondary
Boarding School.
The 92% result of the first batch
encouraged the Board Members of the Centre to run
the Commerce Stream too and in 1996 (2055) the Centre
started carrying on two streams (Science and Commerce)
with a galaxy of distinguished university professionals
under the dynamic supervision and administration
of the Founder Principal Mrs. Rupa Pradhan.
In 1997 (2057), the Centre then
started three years Bachelor of Business Studies
(BBS) programme under Loard Buddha College
(LBC) affiliated to Tribhuvan University
aiming at programmed teaching in order to enrich
students with Global Business knowledge and obtain
best result from their innate potential.
Running in its 12th year, LABC
stands proud of its glorious past. Now the Centre
has been fortunate in having Hon, Former
Minister Pashupati Shamsher JBR as the
patron.
