I beleive that the first duty of a
university is to teach wisdom, not trade; character not
technicalities. According to Steven Muller,
"Universities are training out highly skilled barbarians
because we don't provide a framework of values to young
people, who move and move searching for
it."

different personalities for helping us create DAV

To prepare
students for higher education and to enable our future
citizens to cope with the emerging needs of the 21st
century, Nepal has adopted a system of 12 year school
education. For this, Hisher Secondary Education Board
(HSEB) was established and it implemented the new
improved curriculum the intends to equip the students
with the necessary skills and knowledge in the level.
The pattern of the HSEB requires students to have
mastery over the whole course without giving chances for
selection. HSEB has set 35% as the minimum marks which
inheritates the British colonial system that was
introduced in our neighbouring country India long
back.
To get the affiliation with such a board, DAV
College feels proud for being a part of the team who are
there for the development of higher secondary education
in Nepal.
The HSEB prescribed curricula are follwed
in the +2 levels in DAV. At this level the courses are
diversified in such manner as to enable students to
specialize in a specific stream with considerable
freedom and elasticity. The +2 course provides the
students with an opportunity and a means to get
acquainted with appropriate vocationalisation.
